For Valentine’s Day 2013, stars of M-Net Africa’s hit TV show Tinsel - Linda Ejiofor, Gbenro Ajibade, Aisha Shaba as well as Jaybo Charlse gathered for a photo shoot to tell a love story inspired by Greek gods.
The concept of the shoot was conceptualized by Aisha Shaba. She worked with Nigerian photographer Paul Ukonu to create this visual story.

Linda Ejiofor as Aphrodite
Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation.
Tomi Odunsi as Hecate
Hecate is an ancient goddess, most often shown holding two torches or a key and in later periods depicted in triple form. She is the goddess of the wild places, seduction, magic and witchcraft.
Jaybo Charlse as Hermes
Hermes was an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, son of Zeus and the Pleiade Maia. He was second youngest of the Olympian gods. He was the messenger of the gods as well as Aphrodite’s true love.
Aisha Shaba as Rhea
Rhea was the Titaness daughter of the sky god Uranus and the earth goddess Gaia, in Greek mythology. In early traditions, she was known as “the mother of gods”. She is an earth goddess and queen of the woman race who gives justice.
The Story Board
Hecate (Tomi Odunsi) seduces Aphrodite’s true love Hermes (Jaybo Charlse) to get some of her beauty. Ares (Gbenro Ajibade) saves Aphrodite (Linda Ejiofor) from the hands of Hecate (Tomi Odunsi) and falls in love with Aphrodite. Rhea (Aisha Shaba) gives justice.
